FG begins privatisation of 10 power plants The Federal Government is to privatise the 10 independent power plants built by the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) under the National Integrated Power Project (NIPP).Mr James Olotu, Managing Director, NDPHC, made this known at an interactive session with journalists in Lagos. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the power plants are: Omotoso in Ondo State (450MW), Sapele in Delta (450MW), Geregu in Kogi (434MW), Olorunsogo in Ogun (750MW) and Ihovbor in Edo (450MW). Others are Gbarain in Bayelsa (225MW), Alaoji in Abia (450MW), Calabar in Cross River (561MW), Egbema in Imo (338MW) and Omoku in Rivers (225MW). Olotu explained that a road show to indicate the commencement of the exercise would start in Lagos from Tuesday, June 4 to June 5 with 40 investors. Although Don Jazzy has about 479,045 followers on Twitter, he is currently trailing behind Wizkid (610, 743) and D’Banj ( 537, 239) on the social network. Dangote, Africa’s first $20bn man —Forbes June 4, 2013 by Akinpelu Dada  President, Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote The President/Chief Executive of the pan-African conglomerate, the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has become the first African entrepreneur to lay claim to a $20bn fortune, thus becoming one of the 25 richest men in the world. This is on account of the stock value of his largest holding, Dangote Cement, leaping about three-fourths since March when Forbes released its annual ranking of the world’s richest people. Dangote’s 93 per cent stake in the cement company is now worth $19.5bn, according to the magazine. Dangote Cement becomes the first Nigerian company to achieve a market capitalisation of over $20bn. Added to this are his controlling stakes in other publicly-listed companies like Dangote Sugar and National Salt Company of Nigeria, and his significant shareholdings in other blue-chip companies like Zenith Bank
